Preventative Maintenance & Repair

Virtually all manufacturers of medical imaging equipment and systems recommend you have routine periodic maintenance.

The specific recommendations are usually found in the owner’s manual or other documentations provided by the manufacturer.

The specific types of equipment we repair include the following:

Digital (DR) x-ray equipment.

CR readers.

Computer workstations.

Film scanners and printers.

X-ray generating equipment.

X-ray film processors.

Exam tables and Chiropractic tables, including reupholstery.

Top Reasons (in our opinion) to schedule your preventative maintenance visit:

Limit patient exposure.

Limit retakes.

Improve image quality.

Lower possibility of major component failure.

Lengthen equipment life.

In some cases, compliance with governmental regulations.

What do you need worked on?

X-RAY GENERATING EQUIPMENT:

Our procedures include numerous tests to verify the output of the x-ray equipment to determine if your practice is in compliance with various governmental regulations.

You will receive a seven-page report of the work done, test results, recommendations and comments.

If you wish we will meet with you to discuss our report and review the corrective actions needed.

DR PLATES:

In addition to ensuring that your generating equipment is operating properly, your digital DR system should be periodically inspected and serviced.

Some digital DR systems need to be periodically re-calibrated to the generating equipment being used.

In addition, DR plates are subject to dust and dirt particles that are generally found in the office environment.

Keeping them clean helps prevent artifacts and damage to the plate surface.

CR READERS:

Despite the fact that your CR system represents a major investment for your practice, preventive maintenance on Computed Radiography (CR) systems is often overlooked.

Keeping your equipment operating in accordance to manufacturer specifications is not only a good practice for your patients, but is also a sound business decision.

Protect your investment-have preventive maintenance performed in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.

FILM PROCESSORS:

As film is processed, by-products are released into the developer, fix, and wash systems.

These must be removed by regular cleaning.

Most manufacturers recommend that this regular cleaning take place at least one a month.

 Repairs Overview

It is quite unusual for a piece of equipment to be used consistently without needing repair at some time (usually the most inconvenient time that you could imagine).

Sometimes the need for repair is immediate (i.e. equipment does not operate in a safe manner or it does not operate at all).

At other times, the equipment may be safely operated but does not function normally.

Regardless of your needs, Service & Repair is our Bread & Butter. When you’re happy, we’re happy - so please reach out if you’re interested in any of these services.
